Driving on a Suspended License in Indio
Once you are pulled over and arrested for an Indio DUI you will have to face the California Department of Motor Vehicles where your license will be suspended. The DMV has the authority to suspend your license for up to 4 months even on a first DUI offense. Once you plead guilty to your Indio DUI offense before the courts in Riverside, the courts will send an abstract of your guilty plea to the DMV which can then cause your driver’s license to be suspended for a minimum of six months. Even though the DMV has sole jurisdiction over the suspension of your driver’s license, you can still save your license by requesting a DMV hearing on the automatic suspension of your driver’s license.
If you are pulled over driving on a suspended license, you will be facing serious consequences and will be in violation of probation (VC Section 14601.2 – driving on a suspended license for DUI or VC Section 14601.1 – driving on a suspended license ). As a result, you will be required to pay additional fines and may even lose your license for up to a year.
